The Departure

On the road by 6:30...all packed up in the beast, the first picture was taken in Algonquin Park, as you can see there are many trees surrounding the road....it was beautiful..until we hit flatland.

The adventure started when the snow squalls hit, about 26 km from Moonbeam. We still had a 3 hour drive ahead of us. The first picture shows what the snow squall started out like...and in a matter of seconds the view turned into the second picture..both of the vehicles we were driving in were slowed to about 10 km/hr, Christina and Lenny pulled over, while Susy and Sara rolled down their windows to find the snowbank on the right hand side of the road...neither vehicles could see the other vehicles ahead of them..this lasted for about 5-10 minutes.... EEEEEEEEK.....after a long drive we finally arrived in Longlac...tired...frayed..and in need of.....juice.

  1. Now if only those pics were being taken by someone tall enough to see over the dash. ;-)
