Arrival to The Eagles Nest

The morning in Longlac...beautiful sunrise greeted us but the minus 27 temperature was a slap in the face....it froze the snot in Sara's nose

The second day drive...not to shabby... roads were clear..and we were well on our way to The Hub of The Great White North...WEEEEOOOOOHHHHHHH!!! But...no weohh for no service...we lost all contact with the world...who knew cellphones meant so much?

This sign leads to our little road...which we will remind you has no street lights..is surrounded by forest...wolves..bears..and rabbits.....the second picture is of Pelican lake...which is the view we see from the  window in our cabin

WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME!!!!

Sara's Mom and Dad took all of us out for dinner at 5th Avenue Bar and Grill..apparently there was supposed to be "great dancing and entertainment" ..... instead there was a bunch of seniors...as you can see it was seniors night...and a birthday party going on....we still had a blast...and were stuffed!! Thank you Lenny and Gwen!!

  1. just read this now Christina, beautiful little cabin you're staying at! sounds like a recipe for an extended retreat...with a little bit of work tossed in.
